American Fine Wine Competition & Charity Gala Celebration

The seventh annual AFWC take will take place January 19 & 20, 2014 at Florida International University, North Miami. The Charity Gala Celebration will take place at the
Boca Raton Resort & Club on April 4th, 2014. Over the past six years AFWC has raised almost $600,000 for charity.

The AFWC is the largest, most exclusive American-only Invitational in the country. Wines are personally invited after being sampled by nationally renowned experts insuring only the finest wines produced are included in the Competition. Each year approximately 600 wines participate.

The AFWC hosts a series of events prior to the much anticipated Celebration of the Wines. Sponsors of the AFWC are savvy local business leaders who understand the magnitude of exposure these events bring to their business as well as the benefits to the community.

The AFWC relies on these businesses to help make these incredible events come to life.

Benefits of Sponsorship

For a sponsorship to be successful, it must offer opportunities for the sponsor to touch potential clients on several levels, multiple times. This is what is provided through an AFWC sponsorship. Depending on the Sponsorship package Sponsors:

Goals of the AFWC

• To draw recognition to extraordinary American-made wines.
• To create an environment where businesses can benefit from individuals and other businesses by promoting their products & services.
• To continue producing a very special event for businesses and individuals to give back to their community by supporting worthwhile local non-profits.
• To give sponsors a unique and exciting event to entertain and show appreciation to clients, prospects, and staff.
• To offer multiple opportunities for sponsors to build relationships with other sponsors and attendees.

The Competition

The Competition takes place over a two day period. It is open only to judges, sponsors, and invited media. The AFWC is the world's largest and most prestigious competition devoted solely to fine wines produced in the United States. Many of the participating wineries are boutique, family owned operations; others are larger more recognized labels. Each wine is personally invited after it has been recognized by the staff of AFWC as being medal worthy.

The Charity Gala Dinner

The Gala consists of a Reception highlighting the top awarded wineries. Last year 23 winemakers shared their Best of Show, Best of Class, and Gold medal winning wines at individual Tasting Rooms. The Reception is followed by a four-course wine friendly gourmet dinner featuring Celebrity Chefs preparing separate courses on stage. Dinner is accompanied by all of the wines submitted to the Competition, which are poured for the guests’ tableside by our volunteer “Wine Angels”. The Gala dinner takes place at the Boca Raton Resort & Club and presents a live auction and a silent auction featuring all the wines of the Competition- each bottle signed by the winemaker.

Gold Sponsorship $25,000 includes:

This is a wine lovers dream. For up to two hours, guests are permitted to attend the official judging. A client (or employee or prospect), who has an interest in wine would find this to be the experience of a lifetime.
